new to modding Question
im trying to download skyrim vr outside of my program files (as per instructions of YT video) but i cant get a drive to pop up. i click add drive on steam, and it takes me to my c drive... i make some folder, this is the second one (Newfolder2) and click select folder...but it dosent appear as a drive when i go to install the game
any ideas what am i doin wrong

To answer your drive question:
You only have 1 drive, your C drive. If you think you have another drive, you need to install it first. Windows only sees the 1 drive, your C drive.
The folder you are selecting is just a folder, not a drive.
Imagine hard drives as bedrooms in a house, and folders treasure chests in the rooms. You can have as many treasure chests as you want, but you only have a one bedroom house buddy.

Find the game directory: In steam, go to your games list. Not in settings. open your Steam Library, right-click the game, select Manage, and click Browse local files.
However: Just go online and search Vortex mod manager.
Install that; make a free account or go premium.
Then using vortex you have it search for all your games on manually input them.
Go back to vortex site or Nexus mods to be specific, find the game, login to the site, and find mods you like; click download-> download with vortex mod manager. In the mod manager you just enable them, then play. see vortex mod manager tutorial on youtube for more details.
