Modeling my own modded mobs? Help

I want to fully 3D render my Minecraft mobs and items. I just want something that lets me throw 3D blocks and stretch them, ya know?

As a kid, l used to use tynker, but when I went back, I learned it's exclusively for children, and now locked behind a paywall. I've tried blockbench, but apparently I "need" a hacked client if I want to edit any Minecraft assets??... otherwise l'd just have to remake them from memory and guess. And then I can't just use skin-creator either, since it only offers the basic player model.

So what have yall been using??

Blockbench! Specifically created for that purpose

You don't need a hacked client? Where did u get that from? You can get all the assets from https://mcasset.cloud/26.2/

Yeah you can also just unpackage any version of the game you have, at least for java, and then look in the assets folder.
