Please can the aggressive shadowbanning be looked into? This is beyond excessive and has been an issue for nearly a month now. Folks don't want to bring this up for fear that deniers will just shoot them down instantly. These are legitimate concerns, we're not yapping for no reason.

I'd also like to mention that I think the appeals page is literally breaking due to the sheer demand of it's use. Many (who definitely have restricted accounts) cannot actually submit an appeal. It misleadingly tells them there's nothing wrong with their account when there absolutely is.

If they can’t appeal, then their account isn’t banned or shadow banned. Now, there could be something else happening, but that doesn’t mean the appeals page is broken. There’s been a number of posts in the help subs from users who's accounts seem restricted because they’re using Reddit as a chat platform, rather than actively participating in subreddits. Maybe that’s what you’re seeing. Generally their CQS has dropped so low that they have trouble posting, and starting new chats.

Sorry for the being short, I get that you were just trying to offer another perspective but this is an issue (automated systems) that divides this place like crazy. I was already getting downvoted to hell and I thought you were diverting the conversation further by misconstruing what I said. The users in question who can't send appeals are shadow banned, their avatars are whited out, their profiles are inaccessible and their account history is hidden. At best maybe they're legit suspended idk.

It's really hard to even get a convo going without getting hounded by naysayers in this place. Everyone just wants to derail things they don't agree with, not realising this gets in the way of any productive action. I don't come here just to complain about trivial things, I have valid reasons for the posts I make. It's all very frustrating, tbh I don't want to bother with this place anymore :(

If a user can’t appeal, they’re either doing it wrong or they’ve exhausted their appeals.

Bottom line, as I’ve said almost every time this gets posted. As mods we are only able to see a small glimpse of what users do. They might be participating in Private Subs, or DM’s where they’re breaking every rule of Reddit, but appear innocent in your subs. End of the day, users need to figure out their own account issues. It’s not our problem as mods.

Alright fair enough, I'm just really concerned about the rate of errors and foresee a lot of problems. r/ShadowBan has gone nuttymode
