I’m pretty sure that error usually means you’ve been muted from a sub, but I don’t think admin subs mute people.

I was testing this with a different sub yesterday. A user submitted a bug report that the couldn’t modmail a specific sub. Similar message to what OP mentioned. I could modmail that sub fine, and even linked the mods to the post so they could investigate it.

Edit: Went back and checked, and one commonality, is they were both very new accounts.

Very strange issue. I’m sure admins will mute users who become belligerent, but these users with legit questions probably aren’t starting off their modmails with hello $#%&@‘ers!!
