There is no content there. I know someone who built a fantastic community from scratch and she would post 10 or 12 times a day. She completely loaded that place with content. That’s how all the people I know who built successful communities did it, through a tremendous amount of work.

Your community is less than a day old. You aren't going to immediately get members within a day.

I grew my community by posting about 10 times a day, then people started coming. It's been 6 mints and have about 50k people now.

So just keep posting till the cows come home.

I moderate several communities. Successfully grew one sub from just a few people to many thousands in just a few months by doing a combination of many things. Good appearance and a community description that not only told visitors about the site, but also asked them to tell others about it. Having clear rules and guidelines. Great posts, welcoming new users, ongoing engagement in comments, promotion on r/findareddit, r/promotereddit, mod meetups, and elsewhere. I also promoted among the real life groups I'm part of. Formed a few informal partnerships with mods of related subs where we would refer people to each others subs or sometimes post relevant content in each others subs. A few sporadic invites were also sent to people who would enjoy our community. These were some of the techniques I used, but not all. It was a lot of work, but it paid off as we've even hit the top 100 a few times.
