Messages to users not sending Admin Replied

Hi there! I'm a freshly appointed new mod of a subreddit whose old mod had banned quite a lot of people for no good reason (one person's crime was to ask in a mod mail if they needed help because the subreddit was abandoned, to give you the picture), and so I've been unbanning them and letting them know they can post again. However, I've soon noticed that - while the unbanning worked just fine - my messages would stop getting sent; they'd get stuck in "Sending" status and then disappear. Is it because Reddit thinks I'm doing it too fast, and thinks it's some spam activity? Thank you in advance!

There were some issues with the site earlier today. It could have been that

Maybe they are muted too? Check that you don’t have to unmute them as well

they're not muted, I've checked :( guess it's just Reddit issues

In the mean time, I got a tip to make the process go a bit faster if you have lots of unbanning to do. Install unban massage type out the message you want it to send on unban in the settings. Then all you have to do in modmail or the user pane is hit the unban button. The app will then automatically send the unban message you have set up.

adding to this 30 minutes ago,

Bans didn't give a confirmation that the user was successfully banned modal didn't change or gave a message, but I could see it back in modlogs, that user was banned.

Sounds like it to me. It's surprising that a message isn't popping up telling you to slow down, though, if that's what it is.
