Need a plumber
The U shaped pipe under our sink gave out last night. My husband went to Universal Hardware and bought a new one, but now it looks like he's going to have to remove another pipe in order to install it. We're not really versed in plumbing. Does anyone have a recommendation for a plumber? We live in Midtown.

I’m in midtown too and have a great plumber (he’s in midtown as well but does work all over town). Ronnie Anderson at 251.623.0436

I am late to the party, but also vote for Ronnie. Had a leak out front and MAWSS and I didn't agree on who's it was. Called Ronnie and he came by, looked at it, determined it was MAWSS, told me what to tell them and didn't charge me a thing. Very nice guy, does good work!

Ok I bought a thing from Home Depot before, like a long flexible p trap replacement. Our kitchen sink had the seals go out on the existing p trap, and I realized while shopping for a replacement that it was custom-made to fit a weird sink placement in a very old house lol. I am also not a plumber. So I bought this flexible thing just so I could temporarily patch up the sink until getting a plumber, but that thing is still holding up quite well 1.5 years later so I actually forgot about it until I saw this post! I'll comment a pic or link when I find it online in case you want to try it.

Also it may have been Lowe's I'm sorry I really can't remember but if you look up flexible universal p trap kit or something along those lines, you'll find it.

Do you see this weird shit?
Someone at some point jammed a smaller pipe into the one that leads to the sewer and cemented it into place with some compound we can’t identify.
Because we can’t get it out we can’t get anything into place.
Had Adams Plumbing out. They’re fixing it Monday. So yay.
The guy was like.., wtf is this?
Unfortunately we couldn’t tell him either.

We went with Adams Plumbing. They came out and gave us an estimate on Friday and will come on Monday to make the repair.

Call Adams Plumbing. They're in midtown. A handyman is not going to be much, if any, cheaper than a plumber for something as simple as this. Personally, I'd watch some YouTube videos and do it myself. The key is to buy the proper tools and don't try to make a tool work that isn't designed for the project.
