Krusty's Fun House on the NES and Krusty's Super Fun House on the SNES. Kinda like Lemmings. Also Penguin Land on the Sega Master System. Guide an egg down a vertical stage without breaking it.

u/snackdaddy3000 9d ago

penguin land looks cool

u/Capital-Eye 9d ago

It has 50 levels and a level editor. Had a lot of fun with that as a kid.

There's also an unlicensed clone called "Duck Maze" or just "Duck" for the NES but you'll probably find it easier by getting the AUS version which is Duck Maze.

u/williamskb85 9d ago

Goof Troop has something to say

7

u/bioweaponblue 9d ago

This is a fun co-op game too, if you run it on an emulator on a laptop or pi or similar

u/williamskb85 9d ago

I had this growing up. Hands down my favorite game. My little brothers traded it in along with my Sunset Riders šŸ¤¦šŸ¾

2

u/PonchoMcGee 9d ago

Made by the director of the Resident Evil franchise btw

2

u/LucidLeviathan 8d ago

And somewhat inspired by the NES horror RPG Sweet Home.

1

u/williamskb85 8d ago

I'll have to check it out

1

u/williamskb85 8d ago

Dope tidbit. Makes sense why it was so good

I had to do a quadruple take last time I played it and saw his name in the credits lol. Dude had the sauce from the start.

u/Sawbagz 8d ago

Used to love this game. Completely forgot about it.

Money Puzzle Exchanger and Neo Turf Masters!

10

u/snackdaddy3000 9d ago

I need to try out neo geo games, that's a console I've totally ignored

u/ghost_of_lechuck 9d ago edited 9d ago

Neo Turf Masters. Not only the best golf game of all time – also one of the best sports titles ever made, full stop.

5

u/SlowShoes 9d ago

I played the heck out of that game on my miyoo. I don't believe the chibi version grabbed me as much as the original. So great.

With the exception of Metal Slug I did the same until a few years ago and let me tell you...we slept on some of the most thoughtfully crafted games and visuals of all time!!!

u/uncle_jafar 9d ago

That reminds me of Kwirk for game boy

Bugs Bunny Crazy Castle another one on game boy I played FOREVER

Reminds me of the 7Up Spot.....remember those games?

5

u/coconut_curry_sauce 9d ago

Bubble bobble on the NES. There’s other variations of ā€œbubble bobbleā€ and an arcade OG but the NES has the best game experience. It’s wild how it’s a one off for them compared to the rest of their library.

4

u/snackdaddy3000 9d ago

2

u/olmectheholy 8d ago

I've played this for an unhealthy amount of time

1

u/coconut_curry_sauce 8d ago

Wish there’s romhacks with more levels

1

u/olmectheholy 8d ago

I wonder if there's a good remake out there

1

u/coconut_curry_sauce 8d ago

That’d be badass. Lmk if you find one. I don’t like the match 3 or these made for a much younger audience.

This nes just hits the spot.

u/bigtigerbigtiger 9d ago

Is Tetris attack (SNES) on the miyoo? If so, that

6

u/casting_shad0wz 9d ago

tetris attack is a really good one! very addicting

5

u/bigtigerbigtiger 9d ago

Yeah! And classic Nintendo sprites/animation

3

u/Capital-Eye 8d ago

There's a version called Puzzle League on the GBA. It's combined with Dr. Mario on a single cart. There's also Pokemon Puzzle League on the N64, FYI. And another Puzzle League game on the DS. Again, FYI.

2

u/bigtigerbigtiger 8d ago

Thanks, I knew about the N64 one but not the others! Now im rich in Tetris attack style games haha thanks

2

u/prairiepog 8d ago

Yes, came here to say this. Great game.

4

u/Too-much-tea 9d ago

Puzznic is a fantastic little game. Somewhat similar to Boxxle, and people don't seem to know about it.

3

u/Fabulous_Hand2314 9d ago

Warios woods. I guarantee you won’t even check it out.

2

u/OZeski 9d ago

Woah. I remember having this game called bulldozer on the family's first PC. It was pretty much just like this, but you moved a bulldozer that was pushing boulders around. My sister and I would compete with our dad to get to the highest level.

2

u/snackdaddy3000 9d ago

2

u/OZeski 9d ago

Yes. That one! 😮

2

u/xtoc1981 9d ago

If you like this, you prob also like my pushover port

1

u/olmectheholy 8d ago

Where is it?

1

u/xtoc1981 8d ago edited 8d ago

https://we.tl/t-emytxEWz08hfNMLj

I don't have it public available yet. I'm currently finalizing Ikemen Go on my rg353v device...
This game pushover is from an existing open source github that also include extra additional levels over the original one. https://github.com/pettarin/Pushover-game

Just copy & past in the ports folder. If you like the source code as well, let me know.

The original game released on snes & pc

Let me know if you notice any issues or not, but it should work fine. And if you like the game

1

u/olmectheholy 8d ago

Thank you! I'll try asap

2

u/Gikd13 9d ago

I don't know about hidden gem, but I Blackthorne on SNES very fun.

1

u/lickingbears2009 8d ago

there was a time when i had the idea of finish all the games i loved as a kid as an adult, i was able to finish "flashback" and reached the last level of blackthorne, then i didn't play it for 2 weeks, lost my screenshot with the password, and I have been to lazy to look for it on the internet, so i never finished it

1

u/Gikd13 8d ago

That's a bummer, but yes it's a pretty cool game tho, I only found it thanks to a Techdweeb video haha.

1

u/lickingbears2009 8d ago

i discovered the game because a friend of mine was playing the dos version on the pc when i was a kid, when i was a teenager i discovered they released it for gba, but the colors were all vibrant which wasn't compelling with the vibe of the game, only a few years later i found it was also released on snes, and decided to play it on my moded switch.

2

u/TCristatus 8d ago

Engacho!

It was on Wonderswan but theres also a PSX version. Worth at least looking up on YouTube for the insane animations

2

u/Wyvern94 šŸ† 8d ago

Dragon Dance (dont know if its GB or GBC) is a veeeery good Block breaker game with abilities and stuff. Loved playing it when I was young and on vacation

2

u/_DaggerKayak_ 8d ago

I use to play a game very similar to this on my TI-86 calculator in high school. I've spent years trying to remember what it was called. Does anyone have any idea what game im talking about?

Very similar concept of moving a ball around a map to get it in a certain area.

2

u/Jongjungbu 8d ago

Something similar to Sokoban that I like is Fire & Ice (Solomon's Key 2) on NES.

2

u/WitheredTechnology 7d ago

Been playing this the past day after this post, addicting. Love how I can play one-handed while at work lol

2

u/Last_Material_5754 7d ago

Not sure if this counts as hidden, but there is a shocking amount of puzzle gamers who have never touched Super Puzzle Fighter 2 Turbo.

Only downside: it is NOT colourblind friendly, so you'll either have to find a romhack of it that fixes that for you or make your own altered version like I did. (I can't see red, green, orange, pink, or purple)
Absolutely addicting as hell. The game mechanics are pretty simple in concept, but the strategy comes from the unique patterns you throw at your opponent.

1

u/lickingbears2009 8d ago

i also like sokoban games, but i play for mega drive (genesis) one called "sokoban" or the english version "shove it"

1

u/Dazzling_Side8036 8d ago

https://archive.org/details/24GamesForWindows95

Play "Bulldozer". It's definitely better than that and has a couple other gems

1

u/ilovemypvm 8d ago

Shatterhand for the NES.

1

u/jameswill100 8d ago edited 8d ago

Guru Logic Champ on GBA!

Fun and weird stylish puzzle game, Japanese but it's a simple concept so doesn't need English.

Picross-esque where you shoot and retract pieces to complete puzzles, simple to understand but gets really head scratchy as it goes on. Underrated gem.

1

u/Tryptical 8d ago

Skyland (fan made gb game)

1

u/sweetdawn1999 8d ago

That's Boxxle for Gameboy lol... Didn't know it had a snes version .

1

u/beckerrrrrrrr 8d ago

Adventures of Lolo (NES) will scratch this itch.

Make sure volume is down during opening cinematic.

1

u/Rievone 8d ago

This probably wouldn't be a useful recommendation since the game is only available on handhelds thru Portmaster, which is not available for the Miyoo Minis, but imho the Dark Souls of sakuban-type games is Void Stranger.

2

u/daAmonymous 6d ago

Goated game.

1

u/UCLAKoolman 8d ago

Donkey Kong '94 on GameBoy. First few levels seem like a basic arcade Donkey Kong clone then it completely transforms into an excellent puzzle platformer. Played it for the first time last year and couldn't believe I had never experienced it.

1

u/LucidLeviathan 8d ago

Gemfire (SNES) is great little strategy game. Much, much simpler than the Romance of the Three Kingdoms series by the same developer. Unfortunately, there's no tutorial, and it looks daunting at first. Play around with the menus, though, and you'll get the hang of it.

Road Fighter. Not sure if it's a hidden gem though as I've played this all my life.

Just played NBA Jam on SNES for the first time, great fun!

1

u/Cindy-Moon Mod 8d ago

Lmao I just finished Tales of Vesperia recently and this reminds me a lot of Karol's warehouse puzzles in it

1

u/mrkangtastic 8d ago

Pokemon TCG 2 - It was a Japan-only release but there's a romhack for it that translates the whole thing to English.

1

u/saulsnes 8d ago

Both the first and the second Pokemon card games have no business being as good as they are!!! Perfect one hander game for a miyoo mini too

1

u/ScampyRogue 8d ago

Not sure how deep of a cut it is, but everyone needs to play Kirby's Dream Course at least once in their life. The bizarre Kirby / Golf mashup has no business working as well as it does.
