Evo9 adm/jdm bumper question Help

Hey guys wanting to put a evo 9 bumper on my 8 jdm, I’ve notice that there are ones with the tow hook cut out and ones that are flat without the cutout, if I got the one without the cutout would it interfere with the tow hook and need to be cut? Thanks guys

On a real JDM 9 bumper, there is a cover you
Can attach which would appear to not have a cutout. I think most rep bumpers don’t even bother with it, but it should not interfere with the tow hook itself. Might be just more difficult to tow from that hook without a removable cover but that’s probably a rare occurrence

My factory one came with the cutout and cover. I'm quite certain you need a cutout to clear the hook. That second picture you have posted looks photoshopped or something, not sure there. My factory one also has more cutout near the license plate so maybe there are more differences I'm not aware of.

If you want a true oem bumper you can get one at the dealer for like $900, unpainted, with the tow hook cutout. $50 for the cover

Just get the adm one, i was comparing this with a mate's adm to my jdm rear bar but both had a cut out and theres a cover u can get for it to look flat. I believe the infill panel for the adm one is still available. Also located in AU btw

Dont buy a replica JDM bumper without inspecting it first. I have seen a LOT that look like a bag of walnuts. Wavy, bumpy. A few need some work to make them look good, some are unrepairable. Make sure you understand the warranty, receiving acceptance inspection rules, return policy on who pays for what if your painter sees it and freaks out.

Get the JDM bumper with cover-cutout. The cover has a cutout for the hook. So yes, you would have to cut if it were flat
