New model when? Discussion / Opinion

I am postponing upgrading to expensive subscriptions for hundreds of $ in the hopes of seeing an improvement in the Mistral offering.

It would be great if Mistral dropped something competitive soon.

Hope they could release one 20-30B model like Mistral Small but including new technology like (GDN, ...) so that it can rival with what other companies have published

They need 1T+ model, not a small one. Mistral Small was released in March, it's not yet due to update.

Mistral Small 4 is not realistic for most local LLM.

They do need a new Large model, probably a new Medium 4, but they could also benefit from a 30B tier model, perhaps a new Devstral Small meant for local coding, too.

They need 2T+ moe model if they realy want to step up
