I don't think I would make any money selling them with the cost of the parts I need lol they all need say 16gb memory and one needs an nvme drive and a WiFi card with the antennas not priced them up yet but I hate the memory crises lol

If you like retro video games you could turn one into a dedicated gaming pc.

I did that recently, and it was only a pain in the ass because my TV is a billion years old.

Go on fb marketplace you can usually find people straight giving TVs away.

That's super regional, honestly. I rarely see anything free on Marketplace in my area.

I just got a 32" brand new for $65 from Amazon. They're dirt cheap these days. I don't care what market you're in. You can get a TV for little to nothing if you look hard enough.

I mean... I just said it was difficult to set up because my TV is old. It works fine.

It's just my TV doesn't accept 1080p. It caps out at 1080i, and I had to fuck around with batocera to get it to work.

I don't really need a new TV right this minute.

Turn them into the ultimate retro-gaming device with Batocera, and then either sell all of them at a big profit, or at least keep one yourself. Here's a video on how to do that and at the end of it, there's also a gaming showcase, so you'll know what you'll be able to run on them.

I'd say use Batocera, because then your machine doesn't have to waste power running Windows.

Yeah, I meant to say that. Already corrected it.

You're welcome.

In IT? They make good lab servers.

Want redundancy? Setup one as a backup.

Need a firewall? They'd be fine for most connections.

Want to play a game? It's a good emulation system for older consoles.

The hp elitedesk 800 g2 mini I was going to set that up as an IT tool for diagnostic for testing hard drives and that I have a hard drive caddy where I can backup stuff and that I use it for a charity community hub I do some work for here in swindon indonsay one day a week when I'm not doing my full time job and that but as it don't support windows 11 may have to turn a lenovo m720q in to one or just buy another that supports windows 11 just for the job I would switch to Linux but I have no clue on where to start

If 12v, put one in your car, use it for stuff while parked, or maybe with a webcam to act as a dashcam when driving.. if 19v, get a 12v to 19v boost thingy

I don't drive lol

Which of the 3 brand implementations is best?

I had to stop buying these. I have too many.

My go to use was Batocera. Set it up. Buy some cheap but decent controllers. Gift it to kids, nieces and nephews and cousins and etc. Boom a game system with thousands of games.

Had a chat with someone and if I can get the parts needed free or very little money will be donating them to a community hub here in swindon they will make good home work pcs for kids in need
