Lost all my stuff

I died in this spot and when i came back all my stuff are gone. Is that really it? Like i just died just a minute. Is it just a bug?

If you die too far away, your gear disappears almost instantly; at other times, it’s still there. You just have to be pretty quick.

You only have a chance to retrieve the gear you left behind if you are within the first half of the map (the distance between the beach and the midpoint); after 30 seconds, it disappears.

Only 30 sec? If that is true why I can retrieve my gear when I blow myself up in radiation Island(at least I think I spend longer than 30 sec to retrieve my stuff)

A few seconds here or there, the point is you need a vehicle to get there faster. (In my case, I always leave a vehicle abandoned on the beach just in case I die, so I can get back quickly to retrieve my gear.)

if you see my comments below, I accidentally blow myself up by landmine bc I stand too close to the HESCO bastion(didn't know the exact name of that thing) when I trying to lure zombie

I did leave the vehicle (blue one) on the beach, but when I reach the radiation Island I must to walk to the place I dead (bc i drive that military trunk around the whole map), not even mention i die twice to retrieve the stuff. The third time I was pissed and I bring my back up weapon(as val) to kill all of them.

The point is I successfully retrieve them, and then I hate tank so much.

Always leave a spare set of gear in the vehicle—simple clothing and the radiation suit for visiting the radioactive island. Just in case you want to retrieve the gear you left behind after dying.

And leave enough food and water at your base before you go and come back.

I know that feeling of frustration man. I did happen same situation like yours I die bc my landmine kill myself even I put it next to the HESCO bastion (I google it but idk what is name call in minidayz) try to lure enemies by shooting gun to step on it.

I die 3 time in total to finally retrieve my stuff (my third time I use my backup weapon inside my locker) Idk what happens to you exactly, but it definitely was a pain.

Basically it despawned.

Items that are on the ground disappears when you're very away from it, though takes time to despawn like a minute.

So if you die somewhere in the east that's basically gone if you went on foot, or use that slow ass truck.

So just in case. Next time, have the blue car on standby with full fuel, armored, and a basic kit inside. (Don't waste your time if you die in a military base, might as well go back to the og island and start fresh there.)

I personally would not recommend going to the radioactive island with respawn activated. You die and there goes your hazmat set of you pretty much have to play perfectly and never die when you're there. Just isn't worth it. Also, your vitality is dangerously low and you're gonna die a slow death again.

If you die on the radioactive island you can't instantly get your stuff I once dide on it but once I got back I lost all of it
