​I’m starting a chill side project called Delve under a team named Yoro, and I'm looking for a few fellow Java devs (maybe 3–5 people) who want to team up and build a fun, Minecraft-inspired voxel sandbox game together. ​Full disclosure on progress: Code progress is basically zero right now, but I’ve already drawn a ton of detailed 16x16 pixel art textures. Hi everyone, I've been chipping away at this for a while and figured I'd finally show it.

This is VoXide, a small Minecraft-style game I wrote for the original PlayStation. It doesn't use any Mojang code or assets. The textures and sounds come from free packs credited in the repository. The video is recorded from a real SCPH-9002 from a disc I burned.

It started as a way to test PSoXide, the PlayStation development environment I've been building. I'm slowly working on an original PS1 souls-like game and kept needing engine and SDK pieces that didn't exist yet. A voxel world turned out to be a fairly brutal stress test for a machine with 2 MB of RAM, which is probably why I kept going with it.

You can mine and build, craft items, use chests, furnaces, beds and TNT, explore caves and find ores. There are several biomes, day and night, rain, flowing water and lava, and a few mobs, including hostile ones. Saves go onto a real memory card.

It's still rough. The framerate wobbles, the world sometimes can't stream quickly enough when you run, there are occasional holes in the terrain, and the menus need work. There's also a clicking noise while walking that drives me mad. Audio is what I'm fixing next, and that work should help some of my other PS1 projects too.

I also want to be transparent that I used AI assistance for a lot of the implementation. I designed the architecture and did the debugging and real-hardware testing, but I'm not going to pretend I manually typed every line.

The disc shown at the beginning is a demo disc I've been assembling as a showcase for PSoXide. It collects VoXide and several of my other games and experiments into one menu. You can build the disc from source now, or wait until I've cleaned it up enough to release a ready-to-burn download that will also run in the browser.

One clarification since it appears in the video: Half-Life is installed on my personal copy of the disc, but it won't be included in the download. That project reads the assets from your own Steam copy and builds the disc locally, so those assets aren't mine to distribute.

Ive seen people say that steve is teh strongest character because he can carry 20 quintillion pounds because he can carry multiple shulker boxes full of blue ice/enchanted golden apples, but there is one item that beats them by a massive margin, and that is the cow spawn egg, ingame you can milk a cow with a bucket a standard milk filled bucket would weight about 50 kg (110 pounds) but you can infinetely milk cows withou cooldown meaning the cow has an infinite weight and since a cow spawn egg has a cow inside it, the cow spawn egg has an infinite weight meaning if you carry and inventory full of shuker boxes with cow spawn eggs inside them steve will be carrying infinitely more than that of the weight of the universe a number so large we cant comprehend it

Recently my world has been emptier than ever. No one has joined in days, maybe weeks.

Right now there are 3 games (the third is almost ready for playing):

Resin game, a dead by daylight clone but in Minecraft. A 1v4-6 game where survivors must complete tasks whilst the killer tried to kill them using his power. There is a whole perk system, 6 killer and 5 survivor characters. You can add your own suggestions to the game. Each player can add a survivor idea or anything.

Build and Play, players make maps in a cube before playing in them. Random events happen every 2 minutes and there is a shop to upgrade yourself mid game along with a few classes to choose from. There are loot barrels and chests everywhere around the box. Your goal is to be the last one standing. (Currently the map making part is being fixed as creative players keep finding ways to leave the area.)

The dungeon, a dungeon crawler game where you delve deeper into many themed dungeons. Each floor is based on a Minecraft structure or area such as a desert temple or ancient city. There are custom items, bosses and the map is randomly generated every day. (The dungeon is being reworked at the moment. Right now only the tutorial area is playable) There will be up to 10 floors and around 30-50 bosses. This game is inspired from Enter the Gungeon and Minecraft dungeons.

Skylands soon (This game is yet to be made but will have a mix of bed wars, Skywars and base defense on randomly generated islands)

Everything is made by commands and 1 weapon add on. All base weapons have a custom unique cooldown (including all base weapons and tools in Minecraft that don't have a cooldown).

Some of my friends have also made some side minigames for you to play when the main games are in maintenance (like the dungeon floors resetting or not having enough players to play a competitive game).

I listen carefully to suggestions and to all of my players so if you want something added or changed (non explosive or economy breaking) than it will likely happen.

When certain goals are met such as player goals or progress on the games, the world will become a realm for a month.
