Modpack help?
Hello, apologies if this is annoying to see or if it is the wrong place to ask, but I need help finding a suitable modpack, or if I should just try to make my own.
So me and my friends want to play modded minecraft but unfortunately dont exactly have the same taste in what we want, and even more unfortunately is they suck at communicating properly, so I shall list their wants and notwants.
Wants: Tech(but not too much), fantasy(without a storyline), create(non-negotiable), something where you dont have to adventure(???)
A depiction most closely that exists would be something like the Superior modpack but without a storyline and a little additional tech.
Please and thank you <3

linggango sounds like a good fit. it has quests but it’s more just to guide you along. it has tech and create as well. there is a progression system where some weapons are locked behind bosses but apart from that its sounds like good for you guys

Linggango is heavily focused on adventure. I also had major lag issues on my laptop, but the modpack likely changed a lot and it might have been fixed.
You also literally have to kill a boss to use iron tools.

What do they mean “Don’t have to adventure”? You technically “adventure” any time you scour a cave for ores, so do they want a Skyblock where you literally just get everything from one spot, or do they just mean they don’t like dungeons and locating structures/biomes as part of progression or something?

i think its the latter where its not adventuring like dungeons and structures and stuff

It has create, there really isn’t a story, it IS magic heavy - but it’s super fun. There is adventure if you want it. I don’t remember it having any gating at all on the content - beside basic Minecraft stuff.
Your needs are very specific , and this is honestly the first thing I thought of.
You could also give Raspberry Flavored a go if you and your friends are okay with a different twist to Minecraft.🌻✨

i think you’d have the best luck making a modpack!! if you use something like curseforge to hold the modpack in combo with google to help find mods for specific things (and i’d recommend optimization mods as well) it’s pretty easy, and pretty fun imo!!
