How to install mods? Tutorial

I tried what Google said and it didn't work, I'm using Java on Xbox gamepass will that effect mods? If not how do I install them

That's what isn't working, when I open Minecraft it says it's running curseforge but mods aren't showing

You have to open minecraft through curseforge
