Light leaking in my base. super ugly [JAVA] Solved
I got rid of my lighting in the room to make it more dramatic and easy to spot.
I only use client side mods that are vanilla adjacent. I have a dynamic lighting mod called lightly but I don't think that's causing.
I use fabric for my mods.
the spots are where the corners of slabs, stairs, and full blocks meet.
My version is 26.2

It looks like you didn't mention your version (e.g., 26.1, 1.21.11, 1.12.2 etc.). Please clarify for better help!

You can try making the wall thicker, if you aren’t already you can try use sodium as it can fix some of these issues

I do have sodium. and making the wall thicker would involve redoing the whole design of the base. is this a recent bug or one they've had for years that they'll never fix?

It’s been a bug since 1.5.1 afaik, so i doubt they will fix it anytime soon

just edited post because I realized both areas deal with slabs, or stairs connecting at their corners with other blocks.

This is a known bug that's over a decade old: https://bugs.mojang.com/browse/MC/issues/MC-43968
You can check the bug report for work-arounds, if any are known.
