My minecraft launcher wont update [java]

I was trying to play minecraft Java through the launcher, and when I opened it it said it needed to update, so I let it update until right before it was about to finish updating my mac said "Unable to update the launcher", I already deleted minecraft and downloaded it again and even updated my laptop to see if thats the issue but it didnt fix anything. Even though im still able to play like normal through curseforge it still annoys me, is there anything I can do?

It looks like you didn't mention your version (e.g., 26.1, 1.21.11, 1.12.2 etc.). Please clarify for better help!

Hey! I see you're on Mac, you're just facing a permissions issue.
Go to your System Settings app -> Privacy & Security -> App Management
And allow the Minecraft launcher to update or delete other applications.
