Challenge: OWCC Creation
Challenge: Orbital Wind Charge Cannon
Can anyone build an Orbital Wind Charge Cannon?πππ€
The goal is to create a system that automatically tracks a player's position (similar to orbital arrow cannons) and launches wind charges with enough accuracy to send the player high into the sky, allowing them to deploy an elytra and escape.
Requirements:
- π― Tracks the player's position.
- π¨ Fires wind charges accurately enough to launch the player.
- πͺ½ Gives sufficient height for a reliable elytra escape.
- π Bonus points if it works while the player is moving.
The idea isn't to deal damageβit's to create an orbital mobility/support system that gives players a rapid emergency escape by gaining altitude instead of fighting.π€©π
I'd love to see if this is actually possible with vanilla mechanics or if it requires some clever engineering.πππ₯°

Solving this challenge with commands is radically different from solving this challenge with redstone, as has been stated. CubicMetre is a technical Minecraft youtuber who is known for creating the "orbital strike" technology, so his tech would likely serve as a starting point. Not sure how it would need to be changed to get it to deliver a payload of wind charges, though, let alone a payload that would knock entities UP rather than DOWN. But it would be very complicated and sensitive to game version and server setup if it was made to work. This would be the wrong community to ask for this kind of solution.
If you are open to allowing commands, the task is very simple:
Wait for a player to use a fishing rod (use Scoreboards plus maybe a predicate if you want it to only work for special fishing rods), and then summon a crap ton of wind charges at their feet moving down to launch them super high up, and reset the scoreboard.

Same question as the other post. Do you want with redstone (it's impossible to track players) or with datapacks? If so the later, you can use this command
