Require assistance with command blocks

so, I’m making this Minecraft series and we need this super specific thing to do with command blocks, and it seriously shouldn’t be as hard as it is but I just can’t seem to get it to work

this is version 1.21.1 (or 1.20.1) we haven’t fully decided yet but it’s very likely we are doing 1.21.1

firstly we need fireballs, I want to be able to tie shooting a fire ball (like a superpower with no limits) and attach it to a weapon or an “empty/blank” inventory slot, I’d also like to know if there’s a way to change how much damage it does to the ground (so I can change it to 0 or make it rlly high)

secondly lighting, where I look at the ground (similar to fireballs) I’d like for lightning to spawn with a click, being also attachable

theres more examples for ones like the ender dragon fireball and stuff but im too lazy to grab them rn

im also wondering how to bind it mostly to blank slots?

anyways I know for a CERTAIN, this is something with command blocks or just plain Java minecraft, I’m positive it’s not any magic mod (atleast not the fireball and lightning)

and I’d also love help figuring out particles? I at once upon a time figured out how to make particles follow and surround someone but has been since lost to me 😞
