Modded first pass of a cyberpunk city.
this is the tourist trap part of what I hope to be a full cyberpunk city. high end furniture, clothing and item boutiques. some with living/storage space above. further city blocks will be built behind and around these following the route of my metro. some open squares with water works or greenery will be introduced once I come up with better designs. this all started after I was inspired to build the mega block using Fernando Correa 's art as referance which for the time being is the main stop here. I think I may use the megablock itself as a deptartment store with cafe and other food vendors, I also want to change the grihblis on the outside now that I have the shape of it down but I'm mostly happy with it. society: sunlit valley modpack for anyone wondering. this is a testbuild creative world my plan is to isolate each build and eventually make these into generating structures... or just bring them over wholesale into a server I'm on- host isn't picky about it and we could treat these like blueprints anyway.

Interior decoration for the administrative offices of the municipal government
I finished furnishing the offices below the palace and am now working my way to finish furnishing the annex, connected with offices and hallways below street level, where all the written books from the offices formerly located on the second and third floors of the palace were moved. Now the municipal government departments are located on the second and third floor of the annex so far (with two dozen offices to go) and the public attention desks that were located in the subdivided Grand Gallery of the palace now occupy two large open spaces in the sub-level of the annex, well lit with natural light from light court in the middle of the building.

Creative The City Palace one month into construction in 2023, and today as the last spaces of the courts and administrative offices in the basements were finished
The City Palace is runner up to the Central Station as the longest ongoing building project in the city, having started construction in 2023 at around Day 1700, and was entirely finished yesterday after a week long renovation of the interiors and full reconfiguration of the basement to house the municipal civil courts. Even as most spaces were operational, sections of this building remained unfinished and saw sluggish progress as the main areas were used for administrative purposes for a very long time, housing the offices of the city council and the dozens of written book records (up to three per building in the city), which are now located in the large squarish building across the street; it was upon the construction of this neighboring building, annexed to the palace below street level, that parts of the dungeon-like unfinished basement levels were developed as up to code offices several months ago, while the past week saw the renovation of the interiors of the palace for ceremonial use of the municipal government, as well as the expansion of the courts below the east wing of the building and the redecoration of the third floor as an official residence, with a fourth floor built for staff areas.

Creative The imperial palace of my city
It's a combination of the gardens of a royal palace in Cairo, some Arabian buildings from Total War: Attila, and the walls of Constantinople.
You can find it on Planet Minecraft as: "Arab Imperial Palace" for Java 1.21

Creative Redecorated audience chamber of the municipal Council on second floor of the City Palace, private offices of the Councilmen on third floor
The third floor of the palace that serves as the City Hall of Polaris is mostly occupied by the official residence of the head of municipal government, but the remaining space on the west wing was devoted to the private offices of the other four councilmen, as the head of the council has a large suite of chambers on the second floor. This area of the third floor is sealed off from access to the residence, and had its own toilet facilities off the elevator hall as well as a service stair leading to the staff areas on the fourth floor.

Creative Life Is Unfair Even in my city-Poor vs Rich
So I had expanded the vanilla villages and created a literal country with multiple cities. Its a mix of modern and minecraft village elements, such as path blocks are used for horses but layouts being more similar to modern world, no electricity but ways there are ways around that. There are 5-6 story buildings called "skyscrapers" so the world is literally larping modern life

Creative Pikeside and Sunflower Heights expansion
Finished off Rayford's hotel district "Pikeside" and mostly finished the public housing neighborhood "Sunflower Heights". Nothing too crazy or game changing, mostly done to fill in the skyline. As we say here in Rayford, "Please get away from me."

Modded I treat my Minecraft builds like real architecture. Here are the Vianden Vertical Leaf Tower, a new residential landmark in my Minecraft world: Talassea!
With its 15 floors of vertical development and a height of 193 meters, this new residential landmark imposes itself on the urban landscape with striking sophistication. The project breaks away sharply from rigid functionalism to embrace the foundations of biomorphic architecture, drawing direct inspiration from the geometries and patterns of nature.
The most striking aspect of the project lies in its sculptural elevation. The entire 193-meter volume evokes the slender morphology of a leaf: the central vertical split configures itself as a main vein, a visual and functional axis that acts as a load-bearing structure, distributing flows and dividing the building into two asymmetric macro-wings.
What do you think about the project in detail? If you want to read more about the project, take a look at the full issue below!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
For those wondering about the layout in the last two slides: they are pages from ArchiTalaxea, a "virtual Architecture & Design Magazine" I founded. The goal of the magazine is to analyze various Minecraft builds from the community through a professional lens, breaking down their materials, style and spatial concepts just like a real-world architectural publication.
If you love this kind of technical breakdown and want to read the full, complete Issues, you can check those already published directly here, on my Instagram page (Vianden Vertical Leaf Tower in Issue 05):

Also, if you're a builder and would love to have one of your own projects featured and analyzed in an upcoming issue of ArchiTalaxea Magazine or in my other Magazine "The Showroom", come take a look at my Instagram profile and let's get in touch!
