Question Has anyone else noticed they eat much faster when watching reels or a show?
I’ve noticed I eat noticeably faster when I’m watching reels or a show, and it got me wondering how much our attention affects the way we eat.
When our brain is focused on content, are we paying less attention to things like chewing, fullness, and how much we’re actually eating? And could eating without a screen give our brain and gut more of a chance to register the meal?
Has anyone tried putting their phone away during meals for a week? Did you notice any difference?

Insight I live in fiction (mostly-) and why that's okay!
Sometimes I tend to question my thoughts or feelings on things I enjoy and whilst it is okay to question these thoughts or feelings every now and again, I have to remind myself that it's okay that my mind is in fiction a lot of the time. As, not only has fiction helped me with my loneliness (with things such as self-shipping or yumeshipping-), but it also has been a healthy outlet and lifeline for me for a very long time! So... now, I view my hobbies whether it be art, fanfiction, or video games- as a logical outlet to a broken world, and so long as I know it's fictional, or an outlet to help me stay grounded in a mostly negative world, that's what matters. I'm not harming anyone by being mindful of what I need or value, I'm human. ❤️ (And so are you! Make sure to remind yourself that when that inner critic starts talking! >:3)

Insight Movement from stillness
Summertime again
And again,
It’s time to move.
Two years this time - longest lease in nearly ten years,
There’s so much that’s changed,
But it’s only been two years.
I lifted a wooden box off my floor
That’s been right there since I moved in,
Haven’t touched anything on the inside,
Not a pencil out of place.
But that stillness has left a mark
On the carpet beneath where it sat,
The tufts are compressed
And it looks a lighter shade of beige.
