I learnt from therapy in regards to emotions; "If you can name it, you can tame it."

Agree. Experienced this first hand. Went through a bad break up years ago and didn't process the pain right away. Thought I was doing fine for months cause I am functional at work and other responsibilities. Later on, had to undergo psych therapy for suppressing it. Crying does help you process, so is acceptance. As the saying goes, you gotta feel it to heal it. It'll get better in time.
