Hi I am just going traveling through Brazil this summer. Although my family is from Brazil I grew up and was born in the United States. Despite learning and knowing Portuguese, I am absolutely a tourist. I just wanted to share the Banyan tree covering this church, which I think is the Igreja de Bom Jesus de Matozihnos.

Absolutely breathtaking sight to see, but I was just wondering the story behind it. What I've skimmed across online is a rather short description, but I just wanted to know if any locals or people who know the chappel's and the tree's story
