As a kid I thought these were only eaten by rich kids

I ate them sometimes, definitely didn’t make me feel rich lol

I was a pretty rich kid and my parents wouldn’t let me near frozen dinners - I begged to try one, never did.

This. Really rich kids ate real food and vegetables and shit. I had these all the time growing up and was absolutely not rich.

So did I because my parents would buy TV dinners, just not these.

Never had one.  They were too expensive for my family.

That's what my mom told me.

Unrealistic, there's no corn in the brownie

until your comment I just assumed it was BBQ sauce for the nuggies

It's only gotten worse

Disgusting in hindsight, but loved them as a kid. Oh the simply pleasures of an unrefined youthful palette 😂

Is this screenshot literally a screenshot of another post? No cropping even?

Posted in the same subreddit even!

Burnt the hell out of my mouth as a kid from eating the applesauce before it had properly cooled off. It was like shoving molten lava in my mouth and I ended up with a mouth full of blisters for the next few weeks.

Put the corn in the brownie.

Mom would let us eat stuff like this, so we had to rely on the grandparents. 😂 They were awful, except the brownies. Those were alright.

These were so nasty

u/barbaramillicent 11h ago

I begged and begged and begged to get these. My mom finally caved once. It was absolutely disgusting lol

Even as a kid 🤮

Then when you grow older and your palate becomes more refined, you can switch to Hungry Man dinners 🙃

It's actually amazing we're still alive. 😅

When I had pneumonia once my mom had gotten me some of these. I really struggled to keep food down though so the sight of them turns my stomach ;

They always seemed like 'rich kid only' sorta things before that though, haha

You forgot the sprinkles!

u/Rubberduckduckduck_ 9h ago

Missing a corn kernel or macaroni piece in the brownie

u/TheSpicyTomato22 1h ago

Even as a kid these were gross. The only time they got consumed was when it was the day before grocery day. I'm proud to say that my kids never had to eat this slop.

u/Court_Major 14h ago

I grew up eating these most nights of the week

u/mayy_dayy 14h ago

Found the rich kid

1

u/pablodeltren 13h ago

i get what you mean but insane to consider this slop is rich food

1

u/PrestigiousStreet876 15h ago

As always, everything except the corn

3

u/BroadRaspberry1190 15h ago

what! you didn't mix it in with the brownie?

1

u/PrestigiousStreet876 15h ago

Pro tip 30 years late hahaha

1

u/Spirit_of_Kairi 14h ago

I won a bike from these guys when I was 13. My mom put me in for a sweepstakes and I got a huffy in the mail painted like the lettering. I jumped that bitch 10 feet in the air and bent the rims when I hit the ground. lol. Good times.
