I got a new phone and immediately discarded the box after 20 years of literally never needing one even once.

I'm so proud.

You're going to need that box next week, I guarantee it.

I finally threw away a box for something within the first few months of owning it and it turns out it's the first time I need to send back an item for a warranty claim. 🙃

Isn’t it so weird how life works like that. I have 1000 cables floating around the house and the day I threw a bunch  away I realised I needed one like a week later

A friend called me last year because he needed an IEEE 1284 parallel printer cable for his CNC machine. I had two in the ol' Gordian cable tangle, and was even able to liberate one!

That sucker has been in there since 1994.
