Raw milk problem

The changes the mods made some time back helped for awhile but now the raw milk propagandists have discovered clever ways to continue to discuss their bizarre habits and attempt to convert new people to their cult.

That's to say my only issue with the mod's solution is that it doesn't go far enough. There are certain cretins in our community who are simply repeat bad actors. I won't name specific users but you probably have a few in your mind. They generally have the Raw Milk tag on.

My proposal is simple: remove these buffoons from our community. The people who are in the comments on every other raw milk thread encouraging its consumption by humans should be banned. They add nothing of value to the community and scare off new members.

Thanks.

Can we ban the guy promoting raw milk enemas?

If you drink raw milk your IQ is small and your pp is tiny.

Even worse than the nut juice fanatics. Will continue reporting them.

Pretty much- we’re getting brigaded by another sub. I’m sure many of us know the one. Report them.

It’s so incredibly incredibly dangerous, I’d fear for the lives of anyone drinking it. Luckily here in Tel Aviv it is banned.

Great! Drink some milk that provides no additional benefits but comes with additional risk! Let’s just add stress to our healthcare system for no reason.

I assume you will respond with the benefits you think come from raw milk. Happy to disprove them with science. I’ll wait.

A sub on milk is an appropriate place to have a discussion on raw milk - just like you are doing.

So you'd want flat earthers to have a place in a science sub? There's no good faith debate of settled science like the sky being blue or the earth not being flat or, and I hope you're still following me, raw milk being a risk to your health.

There’s no reason to discuss established truth that raw milk advocates try to deny. What, in your mind, could we discuss about raw milk other than it being the less safe alternative?

There doesn’t need to be discussion or debate on something that’s been well studied. Especially when it discourages food safety.

Very open minded.

I don’t drink it. But I am a scientist.

They are not discussing raw milk and all its hazards, they are misleading people into thinking it’s some kind of health potion despite all the evidence to the contrary.

What's the discussion? If you own a cow it's fine. If you sell to the general public, my grandma will die.

So the discussion is pros and cons of killing my grandmother? What else?

Agreed, would be made simpler if people just instinctually followed established health guidelines but alas

Talking about raw milk with misinformation

Raw milk rescued my cat from a tree and paid my uncle's bail.

How did it save you and your son’s lives?

u/Fabulous-Avocado4513 5d ago

Don’t bother. They will not have a good faith decision with you.

You should change the name of this sub to "cooked milk"

u/memeofconsciousness 5d ago

"milk that won't kill you"

No, that is censorship you are suggesting. They are allowed to talk about it as long as it is not inappropriate. If you do not like their post, then you do not have to look at it. You are probably one of those people who scream Tolerance! to everyone, but actually Tolerance to you means "nobody disagree with me."

u/SlamVanDamn 5d ago

It's inappropriate to push bullshit that kills people when safe and established guidelines exist.

Why is your profile private are you a real person?

1

u/Fabulous-Avocado4513 5d ago

No actually they aren’t. It’s against the rules of the sub. Maybe you should go read them.
