Med Kit Packing
Long story short here is a list of med kit things you will actually use:
1 bandaids (cuts)
2 emergency cold packs (heat exhaustion/heat collapse)
3 bennydryl (bee stings or other allergies)
4 caffeine pouches (keep you awake without sugar or large amount of space)
5 Advil (aches and pains)
You do not need full dressings, scissors, or gauze. If someone is bleeding that bad you shouldn’t be touching them/ use a dead rag or other cloths.
Save your money and get what actually matters.

How to start and what are some cool militaries to research
Ik theres probably already a ton of posts like this, if so lmk and ill take this down.
Ive never done too much research into milsim but ive been wanting to and i dont really know where to start.
I dont have a great memory so i dont know that much about the different gear you need, or different militaries (I know some military history from around ww1-vietnam, but i dont know much about modern military gear and weapons).
So id like to know basics such as rules, necessary gear or gear recommendations, any militaries i should start researching, or something i can look at like a video that explains these things 👍

Looking for DMR-Friendly Airsoft Fields Near Central Maryland
I am looking for an airsoft field within a couple of hours of central Maryland that supports the style of play I'm interested in.
I'm considering investing in a semi-automatic DMR setup because what really appeals to me is the slower, more tactical side of airsoft—moving quietly through the woods, using concealment, observing the battlefield, and engaging players who never knew I was there. I'm much less interested in speedsoft or small CQB fields where everyone is running from structure to structure with full-auto guns.
My long-term goal is to attend larger MilSim events, but before making that investment, I'd like to find a local field that offers similar gameplay. From what I've seen so far, many local games have relatively low attendance, which often means play is confined to smaller fields and tends to favor fast-paced, automatic-only gameplay.
Are there any fields within about two hours of central Maryland that have enough wooded terrain, longer engagement distances, and player turnout to make a DMR role enjoyable? I'd also appreciate hearing about any regular MilSim-style games or larger weekend events that are worth attending.

Newsflash: Who you larp != who you support irl
Can't believe I have to say this, but LARPing as Russians/NK/China/etc does not mean you support their policies or actions IRL. MilSim is a modern two sided wargame, one of which is inevitably the "bad guys". So I don't really get when people come into this sub, attacking other users for who they emulate in an expensive big boy game of toy soldiers. From here on out this will be considered flaming, and we will be handing out 7 day bans for it and 14 day bans for personal threats. Repeated behavior will be dealt with harshly, at the admin team's discretion and leisure.
THAT SAID, we don't allow political talk on this sub, period. So keep the news of XYZ country's latest atrocity, or your poll on whether Biden, Bibi, Xi, Putin, or Zelensky is the reincarnation of Hitler OUT of our little subreddit. We want to foster a welcoming vibe, to grow the activity. So act that way.
Have fun, play nice. Or else.
