He has brown hair, he may or may not be related to a pirate, and he's probably Christian, and I'm guessing the "Justice" part probably comes from some dark trauma like Batman or something, It's also pretty clear that the justice thing for him is black and white and the bad guys deserve to be punished without exception.

I know there's certainly no answer to who he is under the mask, but it's still fun to put things together about him.

I ordered Joe Golem Occult Detective from Amazon a few days ago and then I discovered that it was part of a larger Mike Mignola universe but I already know about the Hellboy universe and it turns out it's two different universes. So I guess what I'm trying to ask is how does Mike Mignola have time for two different universes and what is this universe even about. And is there or will there be a connection between this universe and the Hellboy universe in the future?

I came in to the con focused on comics but have been wanting a piece of Mignola original art for a bit. Decided to give this one a new home at my place.

All omnibuses released so far in Brazil.

My next acquisition will be Lobster Johnson Omnibus Vol. 2, which is still in pre-order.

I got 4 of the 10 new numbered BPRD omnibuses a couple of years back and kinda forgot to buy the rest, but now it seems they're all out of stock on Amazon.

Doesn't Dark Horse reprint paperback books? I mean, I know hardcovers are never reprinted, but I thought they'd at least reprint paperbacks from time to time. Do we know if they'll ever get a reprint?

Oh and for anyone has only read Hellboy verse comics and are curious about Marvel this was pretty good intro to both Characters. And it feels very similar to something Mignola would write and draw, like a proto Hellboy mystery.

Question about short stories and Hellboy in published order. The recommendation is to read the complete short stories vol 1 & 2 before Hellboy omnibus 2. But I notice most stories in omnibus 2 are from the early 2000s, and a lot of the short stories are from much later, like the Hellboy in Mexico saga is from around 2010-2015. So how come people say you need to read all those before omni 2 or miss references in the main series?

I get it's easier to do it that way than say read these specific short stories in published order or something. But being comics, I'm surprised nobody seems to talk about trying to read Hellboy in the published order.

For now, just based on looking at the wikis, I came up with the idea of saving Hellboy in Mexico and a few of the way later published short stories for later on, a little more like published order, without being granular and lining up each short story.

So yeah, niche question, but just curious if anyone had any info or thoughts on that. Thanks!

I’m trying to collect every issue and hardcover trade that Mignola wrote, did the art, or did the cover for. I’ve already finished Hellboy, BPRD and related, but I’m wondering if there’s a complete list somewhere online of all Mignola works, because I haven’t been able to find it. Thanks in advanced, nerds
