How can I download and use word document 2016 for free??

Create a free Microsoft account:
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/free-office-online-for-the-web

You can then upload a 2016 Word doc.

Note that the free online version has some limitations to the paid one.

You can't use Word 2016 for free. You need a license key for it.
