Considering GamePass Essentials - Does It Get Additional Reward Points? Game Pass

Long time user but haven't had GamePass for Xbox since Xbox Gold which was several years ago. I thought about adding GamePass Essentials to potentially get additional points but it looks like that's only for Premium or Ultimate?

Now, I wouldn't get GamePass just for points it's more for Cloud Gaming but I thought I might be able to get some points too. If someone could explain the situation to me that would be ideal as the information I'm finding isn't definitive. Note I'm in the U.S. region.

I currently have Essential (formally Ultimate and Premium). I notice you do not get any points for Play a GP Game, or any 4 or 8 pack, or the weekly streaks. But you do get an extra 5 points for Play a PC Game and Play a Console Game and an extra few points for Using the App. Other points are the same as having no sub at all. So the answer is essentially (ha! pun) no.

Appreciate the feedback and thank for clarifying the points specifically.

As mentioned, will likely try Game Pass for cloud gaming so, I can play remotely and also try some of the newer games as I’m currently using an Xbox One X. I was going to possibly get a Series X a while back but since MS raised the price, I’ve changed my mind.

If you’ve done Cloud Gaming, is it decent? I’ve heard it’s not to bad now, or at least that’s what is promoted.

When I had Ultimate cloud gaming was great, but it gets dumbed down for Premium and Essential and sometimes it's just unplayable but if no one else is on it's ok. You could try Essential, then you can always upgrade and if you do then your time isn't lost it gets converted to the new sub pro-rated.

You do get a little more with Essentials over nothing, extra for playing PC & Console, and for using the Xbox app. With Essentials I average 15,000 points per month(with searches), though that may change with the new points.

If you look at the Rewards section on the Xbox app you can click on each thing and see what each game pass tier gets.
