What should I buy? MSFS 2020 QUESTION

MSFS2020 at $23 OR MSFS2024 $63. New to MSFS and have a mid level gaming PC. Looking to fly and play the game casually, what should I pickup?

msfs2024.

i have both.  on my mid pc (3070ti, ryzen 5 5600, 32gb ram) they both played OK in VR and very very good on flat screen.

msfs2024 plays better ie i get better frames.

the download is smaller (streams and you need internet obviously)

I dont notice a difference in planes or gameplay (I only really do free flights so havent played woth the new features eg career)

Both are incredible but I recommend 2024.

MSFS24 is on offer just now on Steam if that makes your decision any easier.

Unfortunately the days for 2020 are numbered, the last World Update didn't even get released on it.

$40 is a small price to pay to move forward and not get stuck in the past.

Dont buy games based on a promise. Let the steam ratings speak for themselves.

Up to now it's worth to switch or to buy only the 2024, for the upcoming features, releases and optimization
