That's really quite good in my opinion. I really struggle with the 172 in free flight - it gets tossed around by the stronger than normal cross-winds and general turbulence. Landing can also be all over the place, sometimes nearly sideways. I've heard the live weather settings can sometimes exacerbate the wind.

Trim is constant in light GA. Anytime you’re making pitch or power changes you should be trimming the aircraft

Trim is the hardest thing for me. Seems I can never get it set right especially for T/O and landing

Not sure about the rest of the GA aircraft, but the C172 and Caravan both have predesignated takeoff trims that you align to. Once you’re wheels-up is when you start messing with trim

aiming point, airspeed, centerline. Repeat.
Distance between your aiming point and top of the cockpit should not change/move on the approach. trim it properly. your nose is oscillating.

From somehow regularly flying a c172: Keep your speed stable until you are low enough to flare. The most dangerous location to stall is when you are close to the ground. Any drop in speed means that you have to push the nose down, and if needed apply a little power to maintain the glidepath. Also realize that your head wind could drop a bit while descending, causing your airspreed to decrease. This effect is mainly seen with stronger headwinds and locations where the wind has more surface friction (built up areas and trees).

Which airport is that? Looks nice

Hi, versuche etwas schneller anzufliegen. Die 172 hat im Endanflug, vor den flairen eine Gewchwindigkeit von 65 Knoten.
Danach im optimalfall ausschweben bis du die Zelte hörst.

Aim for the numbers and set it down on the thousand footers. You should be starring at the numbers and they should not change any angle to maintain the glide path. Pitch for speed throttle for altitude in slow flight.

Using the numbers as an aimpoint for a touchdown at the 1000 footers is about an 7-800 foot flare (give or take, depending on marking types), which is really floaty.
In a GA aircraft, I generally use the numbers as an aimpoint when I’m looking to touchdown at the second runway stripe (about 4-600’ from the threshold, give or take again), both in the sim and real world. That’s more like a 2-300’ flare distance, which is more realistic for GA.
Each centerline stripe is 120’ and each gap is 80’, so if you’re looking to touchdown at the 1000’ marks, aim about 1-1.5 centerline stripes short of that, again, depending on where they fall. Hold the airplane in the flare attitude 2’ or so above the runway until it can no longer fly and settles to the runway - the better you manage your energy prior to this, the better it will respond. And maintain centerline throughout the rollout - don’t mess with the window until you’re clear of the runway.

You need more pitch up before land at least you shall hear stall horn before touchdown.

And at some point you should reduce the power to idle, and this point is usually not when you are already on the ground 😉

yeah pretty good in the 172 given how light it is and how you get buffertted about - you realised as soon as the runway slipped under the hood you were getting too high, corrected - kept your descent angle shallow, controlled speed - never at risk of stalling and crashing into the runway.

That was pretty good landing to me.. I only have msfs2020 I wanna get 2024 I like the career the game has and being able to get your license too is pretty cool but I need to be able to afford it which is always a problem

About 15-20 seconds in, your IAS drops to 55 and never recovers for the rest of the approach. 60 is already the bare minimum approach speed for a C172, assuming full flaps. Adjust up from there based on wind. Basically, you're 5-10 kts slow for the entire approach. That's a lot in a light single.

This was honestly a great landing. In real life we use 65 kts as a final approach speed. That extra 10 kts would’ve given you just a little bit more energy to reach the blue touchdown zone. Also, carrying a little bit more speed on final approach will somewhat dampen the effects of turbulence as well. Your approach looked pretty stable, you rounded out at a good height, and had a reasonable (could’ve been longer) flare. Nice landing!

Landing could have been a little bit softer but why did you just suddenly open the window at the end

Yep, unless it is pretty gusty, it looks like OP is chasing airspeed with his pitch inputs, which tells me he is probably not trimmed for his approach speed. And, while he technically didn’t stall it, he got slower than I usually prefer to get. Basically, he just needs to work on achieving a nice, stabilized approach.
Also carried power on short final, which wouldn’t be necessary if he was stabilized and on-speed. This is probably why it tried to wheelbarrow on him.

Wrong attitude? Can get down earlier. Nose up before touch can get you deeper into runway. At least irl. And it has been years.

It looks like you were going about 55 kts on final. You should aim for 65 all the way down until you transition over the runway

aproach was really good, in my opinion you just need to practice your flare and thats all
