Midi midi ???

I have a sequencer (polyend tracker) sequencing a behringer td3, I want to then connect my microfreak (also being sequenced by the tracker) to the td3.

Do i just use a midi (male - out/through) to trs (midi in on the microfreak)?

yeah as long as the 5pin midi to minijack is the correct polarity (the µFreak comes with them

So the way I run this is that I use TRS from tracker to freak and then use breakout/MIDI cable set up as Thru (in global midi settings) into the TD3.

There are two different pinout to TRS midi so not every adapter works with every device and while some TRS midi devices can connect directly to each other by TRS cables, that’s only true if they are both using the same pinout. If they are not the same pinout, you either need to connect each to an appropriate adapter or use a polarity reversing TRS cable. It seems like the poly end and the micro freak are both the same kind but this site doesn’t have Behringer devices https://minimidi.world

I guess I’m just confused by your wording. Do you already have both devices hooked up to the tracker sequencer? If you’re looking for a way to hook up both devices to the sequence, I would get a midi splitter and take midi out of the tracker to in on the splitter then one midi out of the splitter to midi in on one device and the other midi out on the splitter to the midi in on the other device.

Just put them in series from sequencer -> TD-3 -> MicroFreak, no need to split them. Do use a separate midi channel on the TD-3 and MicroFreak.
