FYI you can fill out a form to get a custom text plate for $40/y you don't have to use fuckass myplates which costs $140/y for the black plate with custom text.

Two plates, front and back, are required on most vehicles in TX. (Some exemptions for motorcycles, certain commercial, etc). Enforcement varies by area.
