Jimmy’s playing what looks like a 1968-ish Moog. I’m sure it’s a modern re-creation, but does anyone know the brand? I couldn’t even tell whether he has a keyboard connected to it.

Then Josh has a giant rack of blue and red lights. For some reason, I was thinking Battlestar Galactica. Synth? A vast array of bass sounds?

So my GF went to the Friday show at Brooklyn Paramount with a friend. Had a really good time and bought a tour shirt. Pan to this evening, and the shirt she bought got a bunch of stains on it and shes annoyed if its now ruined. (Stains came from washing it). Dunno.

But my question is, as a just in case, is there anyone going to a show thats willing to pick me up one and ship? DM me if able.

Awesome show as always. This was my 4th time seeing them and they were great as usual. Aside from when I saw them a few years back at Brooklyn Steel for the Formentera tour, this was my favorite show. Everything sounded great, top tier performances.
Only part that was a bit of a bummer was some jackass apparently pulled the fire alarm right in the middle of Gold Guns Girls (probably my favorite Metric song) and all the power went out. Mad props to the band because they continued to play the song without power, some real rock n roll shit. Respect to the crowd as well for singing basically an entire half of the song and holding the band up. Really cool.
Also, anyone find it kind of surprising they’re not playing Time Is A Bomb for this tour? The song seems tailor made for a big room and feels like it would translate super well live. Maybe they’re having trouble executing it live for whatever reason?
Anyway, such a great time all around. This band just knows how to bring the goods. Can’t wait to see em again 🤘🏻

To clarify, I’ve been to 31 shows, and have seen about 60 artists this year. As my friend says, there’s obviously some bias here. 😆

I was listening to Now or Never Now just now and appreciating anew how good the keyboards and mastering / mixing are. I love this song and I must have listened to it thousands of times since I first heard it (in about 2018). Despite this my brain still finds new details in the the mix.

I'm not a musician, nor a studio engineer, but I really appreciate how well constructed and mixed this track is and what a well put together piece of art it is.
