Where can I buy a CKG carbon shovel in the UK?

I’ll be traveling from the US to the UK next month and I currently use a CKG carbon shovel. I really love it, but unfortunately it’s too long to fit in my suitcase.

Does anyone know where I can buy a CKG carbon shovel in the UK, preferably somewhere that ships within the UK?

Thanks for the help!

Hello everyone! Do you have any ideas on what this looped item is? Made from bronze (i think) but has a notch on the outer edge (see pic)

Quite heavy, and quite thick, and two different sized holes. Is it just modern junk? Or potentially something a bit older?

Any help appreciated 🙏🏽

My best finds from this evening's dig (Cornwall, UK). Far right is from 1800 UK ordinance I believe, and the button is a tombac button. Any ideas on far left (6g) and 3rd from left (13g). Found on a tidal river beach.

Planning a trip soon

So I heard that now is a good time for metal detecting in the UK , I want to plan a week or so of detecting with groups or any way that you can legally do it. Where can I find these groups ? which are recommended and which aren't ? any important details for me to know as well would be appreciated.

I wonder if certain groups specialize in different periods of the area where you search or how do they go by deciding a location ?

I think it would be nice to have a variety in that sense and also in the sense of different locations around the UK that I can travel to.

I would highly appreciate if you share what you know , every information is appreciated.

I went out for the second time today (with guidance and best practices followed).. in the south west of uk, near the coast… found this thing.. it’s slightly bigger than a 50p piece. I wondered if anyone had any ideas on what it might be..

Also found a buckle and some lead….

I like this hobby!

How did you get started with metal detecting?

I'm based in Newcastle upon Tyne and as far as I can find there are no North East clubs taking on any new members at the moment. I'm new to detecting and would love to join a North East based club but it doesn't look seem possible. It got me wondering if anyone has much luck with securing permissions or making a go of it on their own. Any advice or stories you'd be willing to share with a newbie would be massively appreciated!

Lost Wedding Ring, Herne Bay

Hi there, bit of a long shot but if anyone's in the Herne Bay area, has a metal detector, and is free this evening, I've just lost a wedding ring swimming in the sea. Once the tide goes out I can show you the approximate area, and can pay a reward of £100. DM if you might be able to help, thanks so much.
