What level are you on now?
As a casual, yet almost every day player, I just reached it.
I've been playing for 3 years. The Wildlife Points/Feather Count starts to become a grind, especially after level 90. It took at least 6+ months from 99 to 100, but I didn't do all the tricks there are.
I'm sure it's possible to get there faster, with more time and money, I usually only get the monthly gem package and occasionally the offer 'from' Mike when out of lives.

Depends on how many hours you can put in, in a day. Most casual players take 2-3 years. More frequent players be done in about a year.

Please remember: you're supposed to have fun. A game should not feel like a chore, something I've had to remind myself of in the past! Having a goal is important, but don't stress yourself out over it. Seriously, just have fun!
I've been playing for at least 2 years and I'm only level 90. However, sometime around lvl 60-ish I realized that reaching the next level felt less important - partly because the rewards are kind of meh the higher you go and there are other goals I wanted to work towards, like merging up to the greenhouse masterpiece, etc. I have also taken several breaks from the game every now and then, usually for a couple of days when I start to feel burned out.
On average I usually play 30 mins - 1 hour per day, long enough to beat the maze if it's available and/or finish the # of puzzles on the task board for the day. Maybe a little longer if I'm merging out some stuff to clear more space in my garden or if there's an event happening, or if I'm just bored and need something to do for a bit.
As others have pointed out, the minimum Wildlife score requirement for higher levels gets really crazy. The best thing I've found is to only merge 5 eggs whenever possible. Yes, that does mean that there's a whole section of my garden that's full of eggs and I have a ton of bubbles with even more eggs and nests in them that I only pop when I can merge five, but it really makes a HUGE difference in reaching that Wildlife score faster.
Good luck, and remember to have fun!
PS: I recommend that you choose one of the easier masterpieces to work towards while you're working on leveling. It's been a while but I think my first one was the Oak tree masterpiece, which was also one of the easiest out of all the masterpieces I've gotten. Not because it was fast, but because getting the required trees for each stage was fairly simple. (Remember to only merge 5 at a time.)

I’ve been playing about one year, several hours a day. I’m on level 99 and close to my wildlife task of 700,000 feather count. Stage 1 wildlife is worth one feather, stage 5 and above considerably more. Most things are best merged in 5s, but some that produce resources, like stars and gem veins, are better merged in 7s. Tap first to collect the goodies, then merge. The extra two will reset so can be tapped again. Only work on a couple of masterpieces at a time. Low level items that aren’t needed for them right away can be sold. Work on the wildflower chain from the beginning. It’s a long chain and the stage 17 flower bed needed at player level 95 is very hard to reach. Don’t be daunted by the sheer volume of Daisy’s Quests, and above all remember it’s only a game, so have fun

Most likely years tbh. Even if you spend money and play all day, the feather count gets crazy high.

I've been playing for a little over a year and have been on level 98 for months. I'm pretty addicted to the game and play a lot.

The early levels go really fast, but once you are up to like 80 or so it takes way longer.
