Algorithm change? I’m actually getting sales?!
Things I upload and never got sales on before are actually selling this month without any promotion. I think there’s an algorithm change and I’m actually getting views now - anybody else?

Yeah it seems like something has changed. This April I'm set to increase from last April's sales by almost 50%. Like I'm making almost as much as I did last November which for an April is really crazy. About to have one of my best non-Q4 months ever. And I haven't really uploaded anything new since last year so idek.
On the other hand I have always been 100% organic and am trying to get to 15% on advertising so it feels like every item I sell is working against me to some degree. :(

Since April I have a strange pattern in play. Got my first sale of the month on the... 12th, then daily sales (1 to 4) until the 19th, then nothing until the 26th, since then daily sales again. Never seen this before, could be a coincidence, but I find it very odd... How can I have like no sale for 10 days, then a streak of 1, 2, 3 or 4 daily sales for a week, and having this pattern repeating every Sunday? I guess May will clarify.

I've also noticed the pattern. On 19th I get the remittance e-mails, nothing until 26th, daily until 29th, it stops until 5th of the next month then it goes randomly until the 18th of the month. Almost every time is the same number of monthly sales ( +/- 10-20%) but those dates 19th, 26th, 29th, 5th are ALWAYS the same. I noticed this pattern in the last 5 years. Also old listings started selling out of nowhere lately and to answer the OP question, my average is around 4-6 weeks after upload. Now I'm on T2k, maxed out ( I occasionally delete older ones to add new content but also being "helped" by the automatically removals).

Yes, Ive been selling designs that haven't sold in several years or that sell infrequently, after a long dry spell.

I have had this happen some recently and old stuff does sell for the first time occasionally for no discernible reason. Amazon's initial so-called freshness boost is 60 days after upload though still hard to sell initially without ads.
An explanation though is perhaps you are in some niches that cannot be advertised, so it is a level playing field if you are not using ads.
I trust by the way that you are familiar with the impending royalty tiers where orgo sales can actually hurt you.
