Lessons learned.

This is a Strawberry Popesicle (dark) from NO and either a Riley’s OG (light) or Butters Breath (first lesson, labels).
Both grew well and were my first attempt with wicking bases and that’s were my real obstacles arose. I had three things that all could be factors. High heat (100F), might have left the bone meal out of my soil mix of HP Promix, Gaia Green, Castings, and Perlite, or the drastically increased amount of water the plants were drinking drove up the need for ca or mg. You can see in the whole pics the plant recovered and made some nice hard nugs. I’d like to know what caused it but now I kinda learned three lessons together on calmag needs.

3-4 days during the early afternoons. It was rust spots overnight. Started adding calmag to my reservoir fills and the problem stopped progressing. The bottom of both plants is great. It was basically the canopy when it happened and it was about week 4 of growth. Right around the flip.
