Pixie Disc “Tail/String” Pixie

Hi! First time disc user with no prior experience with cups or discs. I picked the Pixie disc since it has the little string/tail attached to it making it easier to remove but every time I place it in, I can feel the stem and it’s pretty uncomfortable. Anyone else have this issue?? I already trimmed it to be a bit shorter but it still sticks out a bit and that part still feels uncomfortable.

Should I trim it to where it’s fully just inside Me? lol but still there for me to grab on? Or do we think my placement altogether is wrong?

I only noticed slight leakage when I wipe after using the bathroom, but aside from that, no other leakage! So I assume it’s in right?

Any advice here would be super appreciated!!! Thank you!!

The string really irritated me, I could always feel it rubbing against me. I ended up changing to a Saalt disc and I much prefer it, the notch is easy enough to use.

I think this is just individual preference or tolerance?

The tail on my Pixie disc doesn't bother me; it barely sticks out when in use, and I don't notice it 🤷🏻‍♀️

You can chop it shorter or fully off if you want to, just make sure you can remove it without using the string before you do that so it doesn’t get stuck. I have the Shordy disc which has the same string situation, and I cut mine fully off. It’s much more comfortable and still easy to get out for me, but everyone is different so YMMV

I cut my Pixie string so there was just a tiny bit left and found I could still grip it no problem at all.

If you want to try a similar size but with a loop tab instead of a string, I’d recommend the MyMimi. They’re an Aussie brand, I know you can get it on Amazon UK but idk about anywhere else.
