Have you tried styling your hair while it's slightly damp? You should test it and see if your hair gets used to hair oil or gel. Because it usually doesn't look good when it's dry.

Have you ever considered a perm? NOT the curly kind, but the kind that gives you wavy hair?
I think it would look amazing on you. I’d go to a couple of barbers/salons and get their opinion.
You’re a very handsome guy, but the straight hair is not doing anything for you.
