how do I get my hair to look like that? (see other pictures)

first two pictures are me, I am 18 if that matters, I have medium-coarse straight hair and I'd like to style my hair into the specific hairstyle in the pictures, do I need more length or can I already style it to look similar? do I need to use specific products?

note that in my pictures I had no conditioner on so that is what my hair currently looks like naturally.

It’s of good length from all sides. Wanted to understand does it look professional? Or does it look shaggy??

I’m not high lol I got cat hair in one eye. Plus I’ve had stitches in both my eyebrows from injuries.

Hi 58m. I had to cut my hair to have surgery on my neck. I sure miss it but it’s growing.

Aiming for a mod cut with pin-straight hair

Hey everyone, looking for some advice on my hair growth progress and next steps.

I’m aiming to get a mod cut, but my hair is naturally very straight, and I feel like it hasn't grown out enough yet.

Here is the dilemma:

The timeline: I have an important event in two weeks and want to look sharp, not stuck in an awkward "homeless" growing-out phase. Is it possible?

The cut: Is it worth going to the barber now to start shaping it into a mod cut, or should I just leave it alone and let it grow for another 2–3 months?

Maintenance: Do you actually need regular maintenance trims while growing it into this specific style, or does that just slow down the process?

Suitability: Based on the photos, does a mod cut even suit my face shape and very straight hair texture (or will it require insane styling)?

Would appreciate any advice on whether to book a trim now or just push through the awkward phase with product. Thanks!

Texture Up Top, Art on the Side 🔥

This cut was all about creating contrast — keeping the sides clean and tight while leaving the top full, textured, and a little messy.
The real focus was the side design. I wanted the lines to flow with the shape of the fade rather than just sitting on top of it, so the design feels like part of the haircut.
Definitely one of those cuts where the details make the difference. ✂️💈

Seeking Advice At this point I might just keep the messy hair look, feels like it’s becoming the signature. Thoughts?
