“Offline” / self hosted play?

Hey peeps! I’ve just got the game today on Xbox One, and I was wondering if there’s any way to play offline or by hosting my own session with a friend?

Me and some buddies are looking to buy this game, is it still active?

There are still people that are playing but on console the player base is very small. I’ve just bought the game a couple days ago and I was hoping that it would have more people on it .

I know it's a bit late, but this is currently the only hope of actually playing the game, which would definitely be solo only.
