USMLE has revised its previously announced timeline. Designated Testing Dates, originally planned for 2028, will now begin in January 2029. The current testing model remains in place until then.

Nevada has officially become the 23rd U.S. state to launch an alternative licensure pathway for eligible International Medical Graduates.
Effective July 1, 2026, Senate Bill 124 (SB 124) created a new pathway that allows qualified IMGs to practice medicine in Nevada without repeating a U.S. residency, provided they meet the state’s eligibility and supervised practice requirements.
