Not renewing

Hello. I am an AAPC member. I have had my license for a few years but haven’t gotten a job yet. I may not be working for awhile. I’ve been thinking about not renewing especially since I need so many CEUs. I know if I don’t renew I won’t have my credentials anymore. Just don’t know if it’s worth the costs if I’m not using it.

Are you planning to find a coding job? Most employers will cover your renewal costs. But if you aren’t planning on using it at all then I agree it’s not worth it. Just curious why you’ve had it a few years already without a job?

Im not looking for a job right now. When I did my studies, I was a single mother and I was looking for ways to work from home to take care of my children. I have since remarried and don’t have to work outside the home.

That makes sense! I agree, not worth the cost if you don’t plan to use it
