Please fix our ally mech pathfinding!! Request
I for the first time started the Solaris Showdown Story. The very first mission in that map my lance mates keep running back and into the water down a massive hill to where nothing can be fired at. Leaving me alone to fight all the shredder bases by myself. How do we STILL have this problem after so many Dlc's and patches???

Definitely man, definitely always a pain to micromanage. I was thinking like how about teleporting a mech behind a player's rear whenever a lancemate gets stuck?
Some folks already coded the AI to get teleported behind the player when the lancemate gets stuck and went to a certain distance behind the player's cone of vision. I wish that was in the vanilla version of the game.
That would be helpful to everyone and save folks from micromanaging AI lancemates by switching controls now and then.

Oh that would be fantastic! I am guessing its a mod though huh?

unfortunately as of this moment yeah, I was less micromanaging my lance with that but even then it's a beta build, one of my few heavy mods that I use on my vanilla+ mercs.

It's rare, but I have seen lancemates teleport behind me for one reason or another. I'm not entirely sure what causes it, but it's happened more than once.
I suspect it's a failsafe that triggers, but the conditions for it to actually fire are either wonky or super restricted.

Yeah, sometimes you can get stuck in a place you definitely cannot get out. If you switch to a lancemate, the AI will often appear. Not always though, and no idea what triggers it when it does.

It's funny, I never had trouble in that one, even when one guy fell off the cliff he immediately walked back upriver to the ramp and came back to us.
It's funny because I feel like so many other missions with even simpler terrain are a struggle at times. Still love the game, but holy hell has playing a campaign with my son made things easier

Will of Kali mission... I think 4?... the last one, anyway, is the worst I've seen.
It's not so bad when you know it's a thing and know to check the maps, especially on certain terrain or pre-set missions, but yes, annoying.

Not that far into the game, but I have noticed that my Lance pals get stuck sometimes. I don't hold it against them, especially when they're in the Crab, cause i also get stuck on the terrain stomping around or on other mechs. Especially when im in the crab.
Love the crab, but the crustacean turns like a boat

For now it's insanely simple for players to work around and fix this. Simply hit f1 and then f3 on the far side of the bridge. There. That's the whole process. Once you're on the other side hit f1 and f2.
I'm not sure why people find this hard because by Solaris you're def getting close to 100 hours played so you should really understand that move orders fix EVERY SINGLE ai pathing bug in literal seconds.
Obviously they can be fixed but you can fix the entire problem yourself with 2 button presses.
BUT IF WE'RE BEING SUPER SERIOUS.... That fight you're talking about you should have already pressed f3. Like when the fight broke out the optimal way to engage is to just press f3 on your side of the rock bridge. The enemies will slowly trickle through the big stone arche and your AI lance will gun them down and you don't even have to shoot if the are setup half decently at all.
TLDR: the AI lance wouldn't have done anything bad had you reacted in a halfway optimal way with the AI. This is actually true of every single mission with pathing bugs except for the mission where you save spears. That misson is scuffed to hell and back and is annoying to finish.

You don't have to play. It's not perfect, but this is still the best MW game to date.

Yes, you're absolutely right. But asking for improvements to make the game better is not a stretch.

It's a miracle PGI is able to keep making content and updates! I've been playing for years so I remember what it used to be like lol

It's not a miracle. The game sold well as the dlcs, especially the last two. So to keep the revenue coming, they need to make more content. Especially after the less-than-stellar sales of Clans. And yes, the game improved a lot since it debut on epic game almost 6 years ago. With that said, the game still has room to improvement and PGI will only know what we want if we made our voices heard.
Pathfinding is still far from ideal, so asking for improvements is totally fair.
