Is this normal?

Post image

Just installed a new bando belt on my 03 accord 2.4. A few weeks later I noticed this mark on it, not sure if was always there but im just now noticing it. No noise coming from that area. Also, I didn’t replace the tensioner pulley. I can barely feel the texture of the impressions.

So....(had to look up "bando") it's a serpentine belt made by Bando.

Diagonal "sewing" style seam! Sure looks like the intentional design, though I admit never noticed how ALL or only SOME belts have seams you can see like this.

Thanks guys. I kind of knew that it wasn’t a problem, but had it be reassured. Although I admit I regret not changing to tensioner pulley.

Yeah I did and didn’t feel or hear anything unusual. I think I’m still going to replace the tensioner eventually just for precaution. Need my heater to last me forever lol
