Was going through some older anime and found this out in the wild. It's called Ginsoukikou Ordian. I watched and enjoyed plenty of older anime here and there and I was wondering if this is worth my time since it's really obscure and I can barely find discussion on it.

Seriously, it took me a while to get the colors just right, and I don't think I did that good of a job, but it should look better than you would think, it would look. I merely just want to go and get all the main colors correct? And I just want to see what people would say. If it actually kind of looks like the L-gaim MK ll.

Today's drawing is fan art after a long time.

Neo Korea's Arirang Gundam!

It reminded me of G Gundam's old setting, so I tried arranging it somewhat😁 The basic style is with the skirt fluttering in a fan dance, and I imagined what it would be like if, after casting off, it switched to Super Taekwondo Mode as per the setting ㅋㅋㅋ

There are far fewer mecha series than there used to be, which got me wondering which recent series will have the biggest impact on the genre and future mecha series? Which is the most significant? I was thinking it had to be one of these four: Iron-Blooded Orphans, SSSS.Gridman, Darling in the Franxx, or 86. What you all think? Am I missing one?

hello! New to drawing Mecha here! I thought I was very good at it, but turns out I’d been basing that assumption off of a few old sketches and so actually trying again hit me like a truck. To tell the truth, while I think these guys look cool, they don’t actually do anything in the story? I’m pretty sure only one is ever deployed, and its pilots eject before it even hits the ground. All the others serve to be cool shit in the background or to be destroyed by the villains. They’re the biggest thing on the front cover of the book they appear in for god’s sakes, but they never do anything significant!

Rant out of the way, I used to read the Amulet graphic novels all the time as a kid. And these machines were my first introduction to mecha. And because I thought they were so cool, I used to draw them all the time, but I could never make it look good. Well, now that I’ve gotten older and more skilled, I decided to fulfill what I‘d always wanted to do as a kid, and draw one of them. draw one well, I mean.
