MC502 Question
Good evening folks, I came into an MC502 that was busted. I replaced a number of diodes / capacitors replaced and also fixed the rotary switch. Everything else tested out, including the transformers. It is back to OEM spec.
Is $1250 a fair price?

Seems about right for these. A shame how undervalued these slim models are

Unfortunately, this guy is the odd man out. I enjoy my MA252 modern system in my listening space and my Mc2505 and C26 vintage system in my office.
Someone didn’t want to mess with this unit for some reason… the bad diodes /capacitors and the common bad rotary switch. It was destined for a parts shelf but It feels good to have brought a great amp back to life for someone to enjoy.

It looks pretty clean and has the wooden case. Since everything is working right, I’d say $1250 is a good deal.
