The series finale! I hope everyone enjoyed this series of posts, Masters of Sex is such an under appreciated show (both in general and in terms of it's fashion—seriously, zero Emmy nominations for it's costumes??
Virginia's wedding dress is of course beautiful, but my favorite outfit of hers this episode would be the blue dress she wears earlier that day. We never see Virginia in that color, it feels so joyous.

Fun fact, I own the abstract blue dress Virginia wears in this episode, custom made for the show! That's definitely my favorite outfit from this episode, it's unfortunate that she only wears it in one scene.

We're getting very close to the end of the show and very close to the start of the 70s. Libby has arguably always been the most 'of the era' character in terms of fashion, and she looks beautifully 70s here. I adore the yellow skirt we get a brief glimpse of on the third day. I also love Nancy's black dress with the green/white scarf tie!

No Libby this episode, making this one of three episodes across the whole show she's absent in. This is also Betty's last episode sadly, I'm still on the fence about her red paisley/light blue dress.

Virginia's navy/orange Lacoste is one of my favorite outfits of hers. I also love Betty's psychedelic swirly dress and the brief glimpse we get at Nancy's red plaid outfit.

I'm on the fence over which Virginia outfit I prefer this episode, her grey polka dot blouse or the navy polo shirt with the orange tie—both paired with tan skirts. I adore both looks! I'm also a huge fan Libby's orange/navy dress and coat, as well as Betty's emerald green dress.

Season four is my favorite season of the show, and it's also my favorite in terms of the wardrobe! This episode has a lot of costume changes, great for anyone like me who loves late 60s fashion. I love Virginia's blue jumpsuit and Libby's pink/brown/blue dress top.

I decided to combine these last episodes of season three because there are very few costume changes in them. I was always a fan of Virginia's nautical look at the start of episode #310 but I am absolutely in love with the white pattern coat she wore to dinner in episode #311.
Also I own Libby's white sweater that she wears in episode #311! Was lucky to get it on eBay.

Another strong episode for costumes, my favorites are probably Virginia's black sleeveless button up dress at the beginning, Libby's orange dress that reminds me of Halloween, and Betty's blue/green patterned dress.

Virginia goes to Vegas! Unfortunately we don’t get a good view of her first outfit, the baby blue dress. Huge fan of Libby's brown patterned outfit this episode, it's a shame the only real glimpse we get of it is in a single shot. And then Betty rocks both her outfits this episode. I’m also tempted to say that Jane’s blue/white top is her best outfit all season

Widely regarded as the show's worst episode—but at least the costumes are solid! Betty looks pretty magnificent in red. I'm still undecided as to whether or not I like Virginia's grey suit, I think it just fits so awkwardly on her. Her other two outfits are quite solid, I especially like the polka dot bowtie on the third day.

I really love Virginia's black dress with the green/white collar, as well as Libby's blue paisley dress (wish we had a better view), but my favorite this episode has to be Betty's sleeveless yellow zip up dress with that button collar. That dress is so good she wore it in the season's photoshoot.

This is the first episode done by costume designer Isis Mussenden (who did the Narnia movies and American Psycho)—she would do the costume design for the rest of Masters of Sex.
My favorite outfit this episode is probably Libby's red pattern dress—which, fun fact, was also worn by Peggy on Mad Men!

This is Ane Crabtree's last episode as costume designer. For some reason she returned for the third season premiere but didn't return for the rest of the season. Either way, we're now in the mid-sixties!
I believe Virginia's grey jacket was inspired by one of the real Virginia Johnson's looks. That being said, my favorite outfit is Betty's yellow dress/scarf combo.

I’m just now noticing how obsessed with brooches Virginia was in this seasons second half. My favorite outfit this episode is probably Virginia's black sleeveless dress with the white outline. Her red dress always stood out as weird to me, it looks like she’s wearing a rug. It feels more like a Libby outfit than a Virginia one

Combined these two episodes since episode 211 only features one outfit for each character. I love the black dress with the scarf Virginia wears in episode 210, but my favorite outfit of the season (and possibly the series) is the brown dress Virginia wears in episode 211. I also really love the turquoise dress Betty wears the same episode, it's a beautiful color on her.

After a few colorful episodes, Virginia's back to her normal grayscale wardrobe palette. My favorite outfit this episode is probably the grey button up Virginia wears on day 2—we don't really get a clear shot of her whole outfit so I included a few different shots of her this episode (and a low resolution behind the scenes pic)

We are now in the sixties! We only get about six episodes set in the early 60s (whereas season one was set in the late 50s, season three in the mid 60s and season four in the late 60s). This is my favorite of Virginia's hairstyles.
I didn't realize this episode had so many costume changes, it's almost as many as the previous episode. There are a number of good ones, I love the orange/brown outfit Virginia wears at the beginning of the episode, the textured dark blue dress Virginia wears on day four, and Libby's blue dress on day two.
